Vineyard & Lake Houses

x
  • Luxury villas with lakeside and vineyard views

  • The vineyard and lakeside houses have recently appeared in a virtual fashion shoot in the October issue of international lifestyle bible, Wallpaper* magazine. They will be built in the first phase of development and sensitively integrated into the surrounding landscape which is unusually lush for Mendoza as the site has its own natural spring. With their location near to the wineries of Mendoza and access to the development's five-star facilities, these houses will be unique when compared to other property in Argentina. Potential investors will be able to get a flavour of what it will be like to own one of these luxury villas by checking into the boutique hotel which will have the atmosphere of a private home.

The luxury villas have been designed by British architect Tom Bartlett whose signature style combines a modernist ethos with local materials. Built with the same traditional, hand-made bricks as Valle de Uco, Golf, Wine & Country's winery, different patterns of brick-laying will be used for the terraces, kitchen, living room and lounge to subtly denote the distinct living spaces.

Despite the luxury villas' sleek, modern lines, rustic wooden trusses, tin roofs and curtain walls will reference the vernacular architecture of traditional properties in Argentina, whilst solar-powered heating and natural ventilation will champion sustainability.

Integration into the surrounding landscape will be key to both the Vineyard Houses and the Lakeside Houses. The lines of vines from the surrounding wineries of Mendoza will inform the linear layout of each Vineyard House. As an abundance of natural water in the arid region of Mendoza is a unique feature of Valle de Uco, Golf, Wine & Country, the Lakeside Houses will be positioned on the banks of two vast lakes. Bedrooms in both types of house will have breathtaking views of the Andes and rooftops will cast silhouettes and shadows which mimic their peaks.

Both styles of houses have been designed as retreats for large families or groups of friends, making them a sound investment for those looking to buy real estate in Argentina. Well thought-out layouts ensure everyone has privacy and peace when relaxing beneath the South American sun, and there's plenty of space to convene for meals and parties.

Each luxury villa can sleep up to 12 guests. There are four guest rooms on the ground floor with private bathrooms and terraces, a master suite upstairs with a decadent dressing room and there is the option of adding a smart guesthouse which sleeps four which is detached from the main building.

As you enter through a single door set into a discreet, anonymous wall, a small, internal courtyard leads to a glass-covered corridor with a central reflection pool crowned by a view of the snow-capped Andes in the distance. The spacious drawing room to the right is lined by plate-glass patio doors with more expansive views of the mountains of Mendoza. Six, shady, private terraces have been integrated into the building's perimeter hidden behind woven, wooden screens which echo the surrounding vine trellises and offer a haven from the scorching sun.

The generous drawing room has vaulted ceilings with modern-rustic trusses and a full-sized dining table. Next door is a welcoming, rustic kitchen - together these two spaces form the hub of each Vineyard and Lakeside House.

  • A spectacular Master Suite

  • All the bedrooms in the Vineyard Houses and Lakeside Houses are at ground level except the massive master suite upstairs which warrants its own dramatic entrance.

Turning left from the covered courtyard as you enter the luxury villa, a long corridor leads to the staircase up to the master suite which is lit by a skylight that frames a slice of sky.

The grand, master bedroom has its own seating area and a large dressing room for two that leads into a decadent bathroom with two showers. The suite's generous, private terrace looks out across the rooftops of the luxury villa, its guest house, the vineyards of the surrounding wineries of Mendoza and the Andes beyond.
